Error 1001, Error 1002

Most Common Cause: You have forgotten to load a printable disk into the disk tray.
Solution: Simply load the appropriate printable disk into the tray and then initialize the process by pressing the [OK] button.

Error 1007, Error 1008

Most Common Cause: This is a paper/paper source related issue.
Solution: You must make sure that you have loaded the correct type of paper correctly into the upper paper cassette.

Error 1200

Most Common Cause: You have forgotten to close the cover of the ink cartridge compartment after ink cartridge replacement.
Solution: Please make sure that the cover of the ink cartridge compartment is closed.

Error 1253

Most Common Cause: The printed document cannot exit the printer because the output tray is closed.
Solution: Please open the paper output tray, and then press the [Start/Resume] button.

Error 1300, Error 1311, Error 1312

Most Common Cause: This is an indication for a paper jam in the paper exit area.
Solution: Locate and remove the jammed paper.

Error 1304

Most Common Cause: This is another indication for a paper jam, but this time the jam has been detected during automatic duplexing.
Solution: Initially, you must switch the Canon Pixma MX920 Series printer off, and then remove the rear cover from the main unit. After that, you must remove the cover of the transport unit, and then remove the jammed paper by pulling it slowly and carefully towards you. Once you have removed the jammed paper, you must reinstall the cover of the transport unit and the rear cover, and then finalize the troubleshooting procedure by switching the Canon Pixma MX920 Series printer back on.

Error 1310

Most Common Cause: You have loaded an incompatible media size.
Solution: Please load new media that is suitable for the desired printing operation.

Error 1313

Error 1660

Solution: Make sure that all ink cartridges are installed correctly and then test the Canon Pixma MX920 Series printer.

Error 1680

Most Common Cause: You have installed the ink cartridges into the wrong ink cartridge slots.
Solution: Remove all ink cartridges, and then install them into corresponding slots.

Error 1681

Most Common Cause: An incompatible ink cartridge has been installed, or more than one ink cartridge of the same color has been installed.
Solution: You must make sure that all ink cartridges are compatible products installed into the corresponding/appropriate ink cartridge slots.

Error 1683

Most Common Cause: You have installed an empty ink cartridge. Please be aware that the usage of an empty ink cartridge could lead to serious damages to the main unit, and respectively to expensive repairs.
Solution: Please remove the empty ink cartridge immediately, and then install a new ink cartridge of the corresponding color.

Error 1688

Most Common Cause: One or more installed ink cartridges have reached the end of their useful life.
Solution: Ink cartridge replacement is recommended.

Error 1700, Error 1701, Error 1710, Error 1711

Most Common Cause: The waste ink collector (also referred as ink absorber) is nearly full with waste ink.
Solution: Please replace the waste ink collector.

Error 1830

Most Common Cause: Disk label printing has failed.
Solution: You should restart the disk label printing process.

Error 1850

Most Common Cause: Disk label printing cannot be performed because the cover of the disk tray is closed.
Solution: Open the cover of the disc tray and resume the printing process.

Error 1851, Error 1855, Error 1856

Most Common Cause: Indication for an open inner cover during normal printing (not disk labelled printing).
Solution: Please close the inner cover of your MX920 series.

Error 1857

Most Common Cause: You have opened the inner cover during disk label printing.
Solution: Please close the inner cover and then resume the operation.

Error 1858

Most Common Cause: You have forgotten to close the inner cover after ink cartridge replacement.
Solution: Simply close the inner cover, and then press the [OK] button.

Error 2001

Most Common Cause: You have inserted an incompatible USB flash drive into the USB port of your Canon Pixma MX920 Series printer.
Solution: You should try using a different USB stick.

Error 2002

Most Common Cause: The USB hub connected to your Canon Pixma MX920 Series printer is incompatible.
Solution: Try using a different USB hub.

Error 2500

Most Common Cause: Printhead alignment failure.

Error 2700

Most Common Cause: The chosen file cannot be printed/copied. The most common cause for this problem is the installation of a non-OEM ink cartridge.
Solution: You can try solving this problem by replacing all non-OEM ink cartridges with genuine replacements.

Error 4101

Most Common Cause: Media size error.
Solution: Please select a supported media size.
